Role of Muslim Women in Societies' Awakening Discussed in Philippines

The role of Muslim women in awakening the societies was discussed during a conference held in the Philippines.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The conference, titled ‘Woman, Awakening and Development’ was organized last week by Iranian Cultural Center in the Philippines and was addressed by Hossein Divsalar, Iran's Cultural Attaché in the country.

A number of university scholars and cultural activists also delivered speeches at the function hosted by Mindanao University.

Divsalar, who was on a tour going around the southern parts of the Philippines, also attended another forum titled ‘Enabling Women via Divine and Spiritual Instructions’, to discuss the roles, responsibilities and duties of women in Muslim societies.

During his trip to southern Philippines, the Iranian cultural attaché also visited the mosques, cultural centers and the Dar-ol-Quran center of the city of Cotabato and met with cultural and academic personalities in the city of Marawi as well.
