(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - An Iranian lawmaker says the Al Khalifa regime has no other choice but to give in to the Bahraini people’s lawful demand for basic freedoms.
“Although Bahraini rulers claim to be advocating human rights, we see that they are using the harshest methods to suppress the peaceful protests [in the country],” Safar Naimi-Raz, member of Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said on Wednesday.
The lawmaker emphasized that despite their allegations about defending human rights, in practice, Bahraini officials avoid no criminal act to stay in power.
“Before long, Bahraini rulers will be forced to fall in line with the people’s demands and will have to meet the Bahraini nation’s demand for legitimate freedom,” Naimi-Raz said.
He stated that Bahraini rulers adopt their policies under the influence of the US, Britain and the Zionist regime of Israel.
“The US, Britain and the Zionist regime [of Israel] are among powers that are trying by injecting their policies to their regional allies to make the most of [the situation in] regional countries,” he added.
“Instead of adopting contradictory approaches, it will be better for Bahraini rulers to give in to the demands of the Bahraini nation,” the lawmaker said.
