Enemy Stunned with Video on Hizbullah’s July 2006 Capturing Operation
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The enemy aimed at examining the motives which made Hizbullah reveal the video at this time in particular. Various Hebrew news outlets were busy with a special coverage of the operation video; especially as it displays an "incredible lightness" in conducting the operation.
On its part, Hebrew daily Maariv believed that the most important issue displayed by the tape is that the abduction operation was conducted without any difficulties or resistance.
The daily indicated that Hizbullah's fighters were confident that the mission will be complete and no one would be able to stop them. Also, the video reveals how Hizbullah fighters were able to manipulate, for months, the "Israeli" army, install an ambush, kill and kidnap its soldiers without having one bullet fired towards them.
In its analysis on the video, Maariv focused on the professionalism of the perpetrators; stating, "We can see that the Hizbullah elements thought about every detail. For example, one of them is holding a red fire extinguisher, which aims at putting down the fire that is expected to ignite in the Hummer."
The daily went on to say that the "next moments were the most angering in the tape; as Hizbullah elements are slowly running towards the vehicle, without any irritation, and the distance between each [soldier] is very similar to the "Israeli" army's special combat theory; i.e. 4 to 5 meters between each two.
Also, the same daily criticized, in an article for Lilach Sigan, how the "Israeli" media outlets broadcasted the operation scenes, and did exactly what Hizbullah was expecting them to do.
"The most humiliating thing that Hizbullah would do to us every time is pressing a specific button while expecting our exact reaction," Sigan stated in her article.
On another hand, Yadioth Ahronoth quoted one of the "Israeli" soldiers, who were in the Hummer jeep and wounded then, as saying that "the tape took me six years back." He stated how he recalled everything; the shooting, the wounds, indicating that he was surprised with the number of [Hizbullah] soldiers that crossed the borders, as he heard them talk and heard footsteps, but couldn't see anything.
For its part, "Israel" Today reported that "watching the kidnapping operation video is not easy, although it does not contain any bloody or terrible scenes. Two minutes are enough to revive the feelings of anger and frustration for all those who know the details related to what happened in July 12, 2006 in point 105."
The author believed that Hizbullah's decision to screen the video at this time comes amid "Israeli" threats to Hizbullah, in light of the recent blast that claimed the lives of 5 "Israelis" in Bulgaria. He indicated that Hizbullah is reminding, via the tape, of what it is capable of doing in response to these threats.
