(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Twenty fourth martyrdom anniversary of great martyr Allama Arif Hussain al Hussaini is being observed in all over Pakistan on Sunday.

Numerous organisations including Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Shia Ulema Council, Imamia Students Organisation, Imamia Organisation and Asgharia have announced separate programmes to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary.

Allama Hussaini was born in Pewarh village of Kurrum Agency in 1946. He was martyred in Parachinar on August 5, 1988. He was a great leader of Shia Muslims and a symbol of unity between Sunni and Shia Muslims.

His struggle against the dictatorial regime of General Zia ul Haq was appreciated by the historians. It is believed that the puppets of United States and Zionists got him martyred through their proxies.
