Tehran Friday Prayer; Major Shia cleric: Iranians will resist against sanctions |
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Seddiqi, in his second sermon of Friday prayers here in Tehran, said the westerners imagine that they can prevent Iranians from pursuing their holy ideals with pressure and sanctions.
He said it is not only Iran which is facing economic problems, but the whole world is facing economic crisis.
Seddiqi strongly criticized the Arab leaders and said they are fighting with Syria instead of fighting with those who ridicule their identity.
Seddiqi also criticized a neighboring country which was 'once an empire against the West and is now helping the Zionist regime'.
The substitute Friday Prayers Leader said there are countries in the region which have never held elections and in spite of all their oppression and massacre, there is no voice against them in the world.
'But in Syria, which has started reforms and people cast their votes and there exists a parliament, they are doing such barbaric work,' the cleric lamented.
