(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Member of Hamas's political bureau Ezzat Al-Resheq appealed to the world's free men and women to move to end the systematic genocide of the Muslim minority in Burma in light of the international passivity.

"We are following with great concern and pain the inhuman acts of physical liquidation, ethnic cleansing and massacres which our fellow Muslims in Arakan region of Burma are being exposed to in light of international silence and procrastination," Resheq stated in a press release.

"We strongly condemn those horrendous massacres which are systematic extermination of a minority having no guilt except it is Muslim and which have claimed the lives of thousands and rendered more than 90,000 people homeless," the Hamas official stressed.

The official called on the world's governments and human rights organizations to take firm positions and action against the genocidal regime in Burma and force it to end its crimes against the Muslim minority and to provide all kinds of humanitarian support to the victims.
