Berlin Qods Day march says 'no' to Zionist regime |
(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - In one of Berlin's biggest ever Qods Day demonstrations, marchers reaffirmed strong solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle.
They called for lifting the Israeli siege of Gaza, halting the Jewish settlement expansion in the Palestinian-run areas as well as an end to the racist and discriminatory policies of the Zionist regime.
The march was overshadowed by repeated provocations by a handful of Zionist supporters who openly tried to spark street skirmishes with the marchers, however police managed to keep them at bay.
The Zionist provocations are part of a major campaign by Germany's powerful Zionist lobby over the past years aimed at banning the Qods Day demo in Berlin.
Unlike other countries which mark World Qods Day on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, Qods Day rallies in Germany have traditionally been held on Saturdays.
