(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Anti-Islamic film produced by Israeli-American and hosted on internet is a heinous act and needed worldwide condemnation, said Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Friday in Delhi.

Maulana Dr. Mufti M.Mukarram Ahmed at a Friday Sermon said: “We strongly condemn the Anti-Islam US film which was produced by Israeli-Americans described religion of Islam as a 'cancer' and depicted Holy Prophet Muhammad (P) with derogatory remarks with several others anti Islamic remarks is a heinous acts and are highly condemnable and invited world wide condemnation because the Islam religion is a religion of peace and tolerance and the holy life of Prophet Muhammad (P) had left a legacy for the mankind”.

He underlined that this film is a deliberated attempt to torture the religious feelings of world Muslims.

“The US President Barack Obama and former Presidents Bush and Clinton have repeatedly described religion of Islam as a good religion, hosted parties in the White House and invited the Muslims at the festivals of Eid and Ramazan. The US Embassy in India also organizes Iftar parties in New Delhi every year then what is the logic in promoting such anti-Islamic Films,” questioned Mukarram while expressing doubts on dual policies of the US.

The Shahi Imam also condemned the attack on the consulate in Benghazi and Cairo and expressed sorrow over the killing of the US Ambassador and others. He appealed to the Muslims to remain calm and avoid retaliatory actions involving violence. He warned the community against anti social elements of their ranks whose sentimental actions only give bad name to Muslims and Islam.

He also appealed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to ban this film in India.

A 14-minute trailer for the video titled “Innocence of Muslims,” was uploaded on the internet depicting Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in a derogatory manner.

According to media reports, the video is a brain child of a 52-year old Israeli-American, Sam Bacile who had received a donation of $ 5 million from 100 Jewish donors to make a movie called “Islam is Cancer.”

The documentary film had sparked fury among Muslims.
