(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj Affairs Seyed Ali Qazi Asgar held a meeting with Grand Mufti of Egypt Sheikh Ali Gomaa in Istanbul, Turkey, and conferred on the ways to expand cultural and religious cooperation between the two Muslim states.
Qazi Asgar is in Turkey to attend a meeting of Muslim religious leaders at the invitation of Turkey's Dianat (religious affairs) Organization.
During their meeting on Monday, the two religious figures called for Iran-Egypt cooperation on Hajj pilgrimage.
Egyptian Mufti welcomed Iran-Egypt cultural cooperation and expressed his country's preparedness to cooperate with Iran on Hajj pilgrimage.
Also on Monday, Qazi Asgar held similar meetings with the representatives of Tunisia, Jordan and Sudan in charge of Hajj pilgrimage.
